Terrible 2's.....

After my sweet little Jakson I no longer believed in the terrible 2's. He was awesome. I remember thinking who made up the phrase terrible 2's? There is no such thing... Well, Madison has made me a believer!!! She really isn't that bad (if you let her do everything on her own and her own way) but she is definitely not as easy as Jakson was. Or maybe I'm just forgetting.
This weekend Justin, Shea, Jewl and I went to St. George to run a 5k. It was fun. I set a new record for myself by beating my old time by a minute. We left the kids with my parents for the weekend and headed over to Vegas after the race. We ran 3.1 miles Sat morning, and didn't stretch after, and then we walked 3.44 miles down the Vegas strip. That isn't including all of the walking around the hotels and shops also. We are all quite tired today!
Well, back to my terrible 2's. Madison decided to hit them the last couple of weeks. I am attributing it to us moving. On Saturday, she decided everyone was going to be a "bonehead." She was calling everyone a bonehead. I guess I need to watch what I say around her from now on. So I had to have a little talk with her on the phone about calling people names. That night as she and Jakson were laying in bed in the grandkids' room she told Jakson that there were aliens behind him. Needless to say he started crying and before long had her crying. Jakson is a good sport with her. He is the most patient brother ever!!! On Sunday, we got home in time for Justin to change clothes and run to work. So the kids and I ran to McD's while Justin was changing. As I was ordering the person at the drive-thru kept interupting me and asking ?s. Like: what drink, what type of dipping sauce, blah blah blah. Well, apparently that annoyed Madison because as I drove to the window she exclaimed, "What a pain in the butt!" Like I said I need to be more careful on what I say around her.
As I am writing this post I am laughing hysterically. She is a nut. She has also been telling me all morning what she wants for her birthday which is in August.
Thank you Jakson for being so patient with Madison. She likes to tease you and boss you around but you're a good sport about it. She only teases you because she loves you! Thanks Mom and Dad for watching the kids this weekend so we could have a much needed getaway.
