Busy week!!!

We've had a very busy week!!! We started out by going to the Days of '47 Rodeo on Tuesday night. Justin couldn't come with us because he had to work a 14 hour shift. Lucky him! On Thursday, we went to Gary's house to swim and have a bar-b-que. It was a lot of fun!!! Justin and I both got some sun. We had a hard time getting both of the kids out of the pool. Then on Saturday, Justin, Jakson and I went to Pineview Res. with my parents. We met my uncle and cousin and their families up there. It was so much fun. Justin went skiing, wakeboarding and tubing. (All after 3 hours of sleep). Jakson and I went tubing. It really wore Jakson out. He crashed on the way home. While we were at the lake Madison had fun at her Grandma and Grandpa Powell's house. It's been a very fun and exciting week and we are all exhausted now!!!

Draper Days!!!

Justin and I did another 5k race this morning. This time I dragged Jakson and Jewl along with me. It was alot of fun!!! I love the feeling of finishing the race. I might not love that feeling so much tomorrow though. We all did pretty well. I was bound and determined to beat my time from the last race. Well, that didn't quite happen. I was only seconds off though. The race was a little harder than Jakson thought and we slowed down quite a bit the last mile. The first mile Jewl and I were pacing ourselves preparing for the next two miles and Jakson kept running ahead and then he would tease us saying, "Look I'm walking while you guys are running and I'm still staying up with you." Isn't he just hilarious? Well, it didn't take long for him to realize he was using up all of his energy. I am still determined to beat my time this season!!! We are looking to run another race. Probably in August some time. I need to practice. I haven't practiced since July 1st.

I am posting some pics from this morning. My parents were there to help with Madison. Bless their hearts...they just got back from girls camp yesterday and woke up at 6am to come help us out. Have a great day!!!

Horses!

The kids love going to the horses. If we would let them they'd live with the horses! Madison has gotten a little too comfortable around the horses lately. Last week she tried to sneek into the pen with 2 of the horses. She doesn't realize they are a lot bigger and a lot stronger than her.

On Saturday, Jakson and I went horseback riding with my dad, Brenton, and my friend Crystal. As we were preparing to head out for the ride Justin let Madison sit on Red. She loved it and thought she was the hottest thing around! Here are some pics of Madison and Jakson playing on Red.

Jakson was very tired by the end. It was just a small preview for the 5K he plans to run next week at Draper Days.

Justin got to race against the one and only Miami Dolphins' QB John Beck!!! Justin beat him too!!!
